With graceful curves and definitive lines, the Trieste Memento Urn is created of purest white porcelain. Each section is thrown individually and fitted to the next with the precision only a master craftsman could obtain. The smoothness of porcelain is unparalleled. In times past, more than anyone else, royal families were siezed by a passion for collecting precious porcelain. The crackle finish (there are actually two layers of crackle finish- the larger primary crackles and the tiny secondary crackles) is obtained in the dramatic and risky raku process. Not every piece survives... which is why porcelain raku is rare. The Trieste is suitable for holding small portions of the remains of two individuals. It might also be used to hold the remains of one individual in the lower chamber, leaving the top (unsealed) for cherished mementos. This memento urn is an intimate piece. It is beautiful, yet unobtrusive.

A Fine Art Tribute from Atelier Du Lac

Few things are as personal as how we honor and remember a loved one. Because these memories are so precious and unique, a Fine Art Tribute from Atelier Du Lac can serve as a perfect memorial.
The Artists
Fine Art Tributes are individually hand crafted in the ancient raku technique by internationally known artists Elizabeth Bull and Ronald Franklin. The magic of Raku is that each of the urns develops its own personality. No two are exactly alike: nuances in color, shape and size result from the artist's creative process.
Pronounced 'Ah-Tell-yay Doo Lak', it means "lakeside workshop and studio". Hidden in the woods, it is beautiful out of every window...azaleas, deer, wildlife and a lovely pond which not only reflects the light and images of the clouds but also welcomes migrating geese and blue herons. The artists find endless inspirations in this natural setting.
